Discussions with a leading team in marine photovoltaic technology have been productive and positive, but at this point in time, untill a framework for a commercial relationship has been struck, the technology group in discussion has kindly asked that the relationship not be publicly nominated.
There have been great advances in the efficiency of photovoltaic applications over the last ten years. The Trybrid will carry enough photovoltaic capacity to power the boat to around the speed of 5-7 knots, before hybrid diesel electric power cuts in for a ramp up to higher speeds.
The Trybrid will be an excellent international demonstration platform for photovoltaic providers.
